Rautamies on kahdennenkymmenennen vuosisadan satu. Se on kertomus Rautamiehestä, hirvittävän suuresta rautaisesta olennosta, jonka alkuperää kukaan ei tiedä. Se on myös kertomus ihmiskunnasta ja maapalloa uhkaavasta kammottavasta vaarasta.

Rautamiehen kirjoittaja Ted Hughes (s. 1930) on merkittävimpiä englantilaisia nykyrunoilijoita, joka on julkaissut myös kertomuksia lapsille. Englannissa Rautamies on saavuttanut jo klassikon aseman ja se on myös käännetty useille eri kielille.

Andrew Davidson sai Rautamiehen kuvituksesta Kurt Maschler -palkinnon.
