Tri-kàya or Three Divine Bodies is a contemplation on different stages of reality. With his new tape, Mogao offers harsh chants and spaced-out psychedelic junk metal soundscapes. Musically, it lands in the realm where Popol Vuh meets C.C.C.C. But fear not! This isn't any of your synth-flavored, new-agey crystal music. The focus remains on screeching yet meditative harsh noise. Recorded live in the Mogao Monastery with no overdubs.
Notes :
Mogao's album Tri-Kàya was first published by Satatuhatta on the 1st of January 2024 as a chrome cassette limited to 100 copies.
